I decided to switch from laptop to PC, so I started researching how to build PCs for the last month or two. After a while of searching and deleting parts off PCPartPicker, I finally bit the bullet and ordered these parts:
Asus B550M-A WIFI 2 Motherboard (£90)
MSI MAG A650BN Power Supply Unit (£47)
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X CPU (used) (£90 eBay offer down from £110)
AS Rock RX 6700 XT 12GB (used) (£200 eBay offer down from £230 - steal!)
Thermalright Assassin 120 ARGB Cooler Fan (£17)
Cooler Master Elite 301 Mid-Tower MicroATX Case (£35)
Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3200MHz RAM (used) (£50)
Crucial 1TB SSD Gen 5 (used - £80) (even though the limit is Gen 4 on this motherboard, I found one for the same price as Gen 4 on eBay with 99% health, so took the chance.
LOVING it so far!
Though I am still figuring out how to get this damn Bluetooth to work on Windows 10. Apparently, this board is known for WiFi and Bluetooth issues, though WiFi is working well so far. Other than this everything else is smooth-sailing and I've learnt quite a bit about different components.
EDIT 1: I have decided to add prices as well, just so anyone else building a similar spec PC can get a feel of what the average price is, whether used or new.
EDIT 2: I've fixed the Bluetooth issue!
