I'm sorry you're missing this, Kabutops. You'd have a place on my rain team.

Professors! Sound off!

Professors! What Pokémon have you become a master with?

For me it's Delphox, Ampharos, Basculegion, Ditto, Alakazam, Tsarenna, and Aerodactyl.

I've had a personal rule - at least for the early game - of retiring a Pokémon after I got to 100 wins with it. That was particularly hard with Tsarenna and Basculegion who were just fantastic in this meta. I mean, Basculegion *is* the meta.

My first team was Ditto, Delphox, and Aerodactyl. It was a revival of my favorite Gen 6/7 gimmick which was using Ditto to get double megas.

Then I had a Mega Ampharos team with a Speed Swap/Trick Room Alakazam gimmick. That one was insanely good. Basically, if they go for Tailwind then Trick Room, otherwise Speed Swap... No one was really ready for a Mega Ampharos with Alakazam's Speed. Mold Breaker was fantastic for the surprise OHKOs aganist Sturdy Archaludon and Multiscale Dragonite. Parabolic Charge, Cotton Guard, Helping Hand (Tsarenna), and Light Screen (Alakazam) made it insane tank. Aerodactyl was great returning as a non-mega and switching to Wide Guard which protected from enemy spread attacks but also from Mega Ampharos' Parabolic Charge. Mega Delphox offered a second mode aganist the Fairy and Ice teams that Mega Ampharos didn't like.

I just got back to MB with a Mega Delphox team but then she hit retirement. So now I have to come up with something new. I do have a cool Greninja Weather Ball set-up (no one expects Fire or Rock Greninja) but while it's a great sniper it's not enough to build a team around. At least not yet.
