I’m so upset at this point

I have been going to this stylist for 3 years now. She’s incredibly sweet, I genuinely enjoy talking to her, and she’s been my fiancé’s family hairstylist for years which is why this is so hard to even post. But honestly, I’m at the end of my rope.

At first, she kept cutting my hair into a blunt shape, which I personally don’t like. I tried explaining what I wanted multiple times, and eventually realized I should’ve just shown her a reference photo of the soft V shape I liked from the start instead of repeating myself. That part is on me.

She got it right maybe once, but after that it went back to blunt ends again. I could live with that. This, though? This is on another level.

The issue isn’t just the ends THE ENTIRE HAIRCUT IS UNEVEN! One side is noticeably shorter and thinner than the other in the back, the perimeter doesn’t line up, and the layers look disconnected instead of blended. My curtain bangs literally have “stairs” cut into them, with completely different lengths on each side instead of soft face framing. It looks choppy, over thinned, and unfinished.

She’s been doing hair for 25 years. I’m not asking for anything complicated! I just wanted a normal, balanced haircut while trying to grow my hair out. Now I don’t even want to go get it fixed because I’ll lose even more length.

At this point I’m honestly just shocked. My hair is going to live in a bun for the foreseeable future, and I’ll probably have to cancel my next appointment… right before my engagement party.
