It was funnier in my head... Roots and Bets Death Battle 2026!

I'm posting this without having read the G1 Blog.

And I like Denji and Chainsaw Man (at least Part 1), I just thought that it would be funny using the curse as a reasoning for why I think Yuji wins.

Happy (late) Mother's Day! How good are the mothers of Indie Era Death Battle Combatants? (Corrected)

- Not much to say. Maura Rayner, Rio Morales, Inko Midoriya, Joyce Summers and Sachiko Yagami did everything they could to raise and give a good life to their children. Even though Miles, Izuku and Buffy had some conflicts with their mothers because they hid secrets of them, they still did their best.

- Eva gave her life so Dante and Vergil could escape a demon. Masaki Kurosaki threw herself at Grand Fisher to save Ichigo's life. Megamind's mother sent him away from the black hole to save his life. Mitsume agreed to become the Goddess of Genesis just so Ace could be happy.

- The little information we have about Joker's, John's, Simon's and Tom's moms suggest that they were at least decent. And we actually met the moms of Kratos, Maka and Yugi, as well as Little Dark Magician's creator, and they seen decent, but lack too much information to affirm 100% that they are great.

- Nao Shimura (Shigaraki's mom) and Rebecca Banner loved their sons dearly, but they didn't have the guts to impose themselves to their shitty husbands. Summer Rose had a problem with keeping secrets from her family. Delia Ketchum cares alot about Ash, but she probably should be more concerned about her son traveling across the entire world as a child and facing dozens of wrathful gods and terrorist organizations while going months without calling home. As much as they love and care about their sons, Atsuko Urameshi's and Mitsuki Bakugo's behavior and temper are one of the main reasons behind most problems Yusuke and Katsuki have.

- Blade's and Denji's moms died when they were to young to remember. Aang's mom respected the Air Nomads tradition of giving up their child to be raised as a community instead of a familial unity.

- Johnny Blaze's mother was afraid from a curse and gave Johnny up in an age where it would traumatize the boy, but Mona Simpson and her husband adopted him and gave him a loving family. A Solgaleo and a Lunala where seen creating Nebby and dipping to buy milk in another universe, but Lillie raised him properly in spite of the people trying to capture him. Pikachu's mother seems to have abandoned him, but the Kangaskhan that created him treated Pikachu as if it was her own baby, what says a lot since its the "Parent Pokemon".

- We don't know if Bowser Jr.'s him or died when he was young. We've seen Asura's and Atem's mothers (and I read that Coyote's mom appeared, but I didn't find a picture), but we got nothing of their relationship. And we got absolutely nothing about the mothers of the other characters here present besides that they probably were born from somewhere.

- Do Boos reproduce or have parental roles? Who or what created Zarathos? Gurren and Lagann kind of don't have a concrete origin. Some Godzillas have moms, others just spawned, so I just threw them here. Horakhty's origins aren't explained. Do Minion's reproduce or have parental roles? We don't know if Minion/Ol'Chum is a fully separate species, if he was synthetically created or even how his species reproduce. I would've thrown Pochita on the bellow tier, but I got cautious because some Devils call each other their siblings. Do Death Note's shinigamis reproduce?

- Sage, Orbot, Cubot, Metal Sonic, VEGA, Dark Magician, Slife, Cell, Cell Jrs and Brain Bots have dads/male creators, no moms, adoptive or otherwise. Mahito and Ultima kind of just came into existence.

- We can't judge species by this metrics. Among every Goomba, Koopa Trooper, Shy Guy, Crewmate, Impostor and Fall Guy, some can have great mothers and others shitty mothers.

- Giorno Giovanna's mom was neglectiful, left him alone starving, and married an abusive man without a shred of concern about her son's life. Esther Simmons psicologically tortured Al so he would be prepared to be a sacrifice for a demon. Altough she mellowed out when she became a grandmother, Marlena Gru still verbally abused Felonious his entire life and used to not miss a single chance at humiliating him.

- Nolan's mother was overly enthusiastic at beating her son at the ceremony, and seemed to be going for the kill when he fought back. It gets more complicated because Cortana is an IA, but Dr. Halsey still implanted harmful malware in her creation as a backup, so I decided to judge as if Cortana was a regular child for the purpose of the tier list.

- I'll have to break down the last tier a little bit more:

  • Anabella Rosfield being a cold bitch towards Clive would already be pretty bad and would put her pretty low on this list. But this wasn't enough and she sold the life of her husband and Clive to an enemy Nation for a smidge of more political power. And asked for the enemy nation soldiers to kill Clive when he was "only" captured. Anabella also tried to make Clive and her other son, Joshua, enemies, and was grooming her third son Olivier into trying to steal the throne of said enemy nation. And lastly, she killed herself, in part trying to make her sons feel bad.
  • Kenjaku is an ancient body hopping Jujutsu Sorcerer that became Itadori's mom while in the body of a woman. Itadori and all of his children are just disposable experiments for him, and he not only doesn't care if they die, but also knowingly helped to torture Itadori psicologically just to do an experiment. And he straight up tried to kill Choso, his oldest son, just because Choso was a little against commiting mass genocide for fun.
  • Julia Agrippina, the mother of Nero Claudius, went against her daughter's wishes and groomed her to be Emperor one day, killing and betraying until Nero could be Emperor, with Agrippina controlling everyhing from the shadows. Agrippina was so abusive to Nero and her step-daughter Claudia, that Nero's teacher straight up said that to Nero that they should get her killed. This ended up with a failed assassination attempt that resulted in Nero staining her reputation by killing her own mom in broad daylight. But things get worse: In the manga, it was revealed that Agrippina was secretly drugging Nero to keep her easier to control, and by the time of her death, Nero had injested so many drugs that she got brain damage and it resulted in Nero spiralling, turning in other person and commiting every single crime the IRL Nero commited. This ended with Nero taking her own life in a moment of clarity after realising everything she did.

What Death Battle Indie Era Combatents went to BRAZIL?

- Bowser, Bowser Jr., Eggman and Metal Sonic are all playable on "Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games", that takes place on Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Adam Stange once baited Kyle Rayner into going to Rio de Janeiro. Hulk/Banner hid on Rio de Janeiro on the movie "The Incredible Hulk", and, in the form of Nul, went on a rampage through all of South and Central Americas, what explicitly involved Brazil. Legendary Godzilla fought alongside Kong and Suko against Skar King and Shimu on Rio de Janeiro on "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire". Blade went to São Paulo to kill some Vampires once, but he found them already dead.

- By virtue of Ultima's "Archetype" invading all of the dimension, this should include Brazil.

- In Fate/Grand Order, most of Lostbelt 7 is on top of Brazil, and altough this doesn't affect the lore and doesn't bring any different interactions, you can summon Nero during this part of the story if you want it.

- Tom Cat has raced across the Amazon Rain Forest on "The Fast and the Furry". On an episode of "Geats Extra: Geats Anime Another Grand Prix", Geats teleports to the Amazonian Rain Forest to tryhard during a "Bug Catching" competition against Tycoon and Buffa. And for the uninformed, the Amazonian Rain Forest goes through 9 different South American countries, even if most of it is on Brazil.

- Clive is playable on Tekken 8, what means that a player can select o play him on the "Midnight Siege" stage, that is on an undisclosed South American Country.

- Omni-Man, Johnny Blaze, Zarathos and Kyle Rayner all traveled across the planet at least once, but I couldn't find Brazil or South America being name dropped. Gru has traveled to other countries to steal stuff more than once, and the Minions might've gone with him, or traveled on Brazillian soil at least once in their billions of years of life.

- We don't know if Pochita visited Earth before meeting Denji, or where he spawned. The Traveler went to our world at least once, but we don't know what country. Columbo's past is unknown, so it might include going to Brazil.

- Kamek and King Boo weren't anywhere to be seen on "Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games", while Infinite and Sage didn't exist yet. Simon might've absorbed a variant that went to Brazil, but he didn't do it himself. And yes, Brazil is canon to Pokemon. Nothing of note about the others who just didn't go to Brazil.

- Among Us and Fall Guy lack too much lore to tell if there is a Brazil (or any other country for that matter).

- Altough there is doubt that literally any of our contries exist on Dragon Ball, Bardock never went to Earth, and Cell just stuck to the same contry, that isn't Brazil. Soul World has a different geography to our Earth, and the countries and continents that exist are pretty random.

- Just there isn't any Brazil to be seen on Asura's Wrath, RWBY or Avatar, and crossovers didn't help them.

- For the sake of the list, if they call their main Moon as "Moon", I counted it, even when tecnically it isn't the Moon.

- No, aura farming in front of the Moon doesn't give extra points.

- Horakhty created the universe, the Moon included.

- The current Moon on Gurren Lagan was a mech that fused with Simon's to turn into Super Galaxy Gurren Lagan. Yugi owns a card that summons The Moon.

- Nero became the ruler of the Moon between CCC and Extella. She later would give up the position, but the current ruler of the Moon is the male and female versions of Hakuno Kishinami, and Nero (separatadly) married both, altough their current marital status is weirdly unclear.

- Nebby is the same species as Lunala, probably directly related but no confirmation.

- Sokka's ex-girlfriend is currently the Moon, Sokka is Katara's brother, and Katara is Aang's wife.

- Kratos freed The Moon from a box. Kyle held the Moon together for over 24 hours to prevent it from exploding. Ash and Pikachu helped to save Lunala.

- Cecil gave Nolan a house on the Moon in the comics. Bowser owns a castle on the Moon.

- Asura faced Augus on the Moon. Coyote went to the Moon on a comic. Tom went to the Moon in at least 2 episodes. Ultima is invading all of the dimension, so this includes the Moon. Maka was thrown to the Moon while carrying Soul.

- Fall Guy owns a Moon fantasy. Ruby's Crescent Rose is probably named after the Crescent Moon (even if only out of universe). Ichigo's Getsuga Tensho and all of its variants have Moon in their name.

- Phantom Thieves work during the night to keep cover. Spawn rarely gets out of Hell during the day. Vampires are nocturnal, so Buffy usually works during the night.

- Doomslayer hunted demons on both of Mars' moons and in one of Jupiter's moons, but unknown if he went to Earth's moon. Genshin Impact's moons have different names, and the Traveler visited them, but they might have visited Earth's Moon in the past.

- I couldn't find any info on Bardock, Kamek, Bowser Jr., Crewmate, Impostor, Johnny Blaze, Zarathos, Master Chief, Cortana, VEGA, Blade, Metal Sonic, Megamind or Minion going to any moon, be it Earth's or not, but they all have a solid space travel history.

- Miles went some times to space, but the only time (I could find) he didn't land on Earth he landed on Battle World. Dante faced Mundus on space, but never went to other Celestial Body. Same with Clive against Ultima. Cell only went to King Kai's planet outside of Earth. Geats went to Mela's spaceship to face him and came back to Earth imediatly after (Doom Geats would be on the above tier).

- Altough in Death Battle Sage went to space, the only instance of she doing that on games is if she goes on the correct track on Sonic Racing: Crossworlds. Still no moon anyway.

- Giorno, Infinite, Shigaraki, Mahito, Deku, Dark Magician Girl, Dark Magician, Slifer, Yusuke, Bakugo, Reze, Itadori, Light, Ryuki and Columbo have nothing to do with the Moon or Space besides a few cool shots.

- Bob lived on the Moon for a while, meanwhile Mel has shot at the Moon in an AD, and some Minions have split it on that barbecue ad. But the tier list that I used only added a singular Minion to represent all of them.

- Gru, the reason why this exists.

- Tecnically was Green Scar, and not Bruce or Savage Hulk, but Hulk waged war against the Inhumans that lived on The Moon during World War Hulk.

- It was Yoru that did that? Yes, but I felt that Denji and Pochita needed their own tier after the Apollo 11 flag was shot from the Moon against them.

- You can actually acquire Ash's Charizard on Pokemon Yellow and on Let's Go Pikachu & Let's Go Eevee, Ash's Greninja on Pokemon Sun & Moon, and Ash's Gengar on Pokemon Sword & Shield. This means that you can transfer them to a game where you can fight a Lunala or a Lunatone and beat them.

- Eggman shot at the Moon with the Death Egg on Sonic Adventures 2. Godzilla used Atomic Breath to destroy a portion of the Moon in a 1990s educational anime.

- King Boo destroyed the Dark Moon. Not the actual Moon though (perhaps for the best since this means he didn't destroy his bosse's castle).

- It was Yugi's own card? Yes. But I put Atem here because he somehow is the only one here that fully destroyed a version of The Moon that has the corret name.
