PPSSPP Microstutter
Hey guys, could really use some advice here cause I’m at my wits end lol. No matter what settings I tinker with, there’s a consistent microstutter that occurs every 10 seconds or so in whatever game I’m playing. It’s not unplayable, but it’s definitely an annoyance I’d like to get rid of if possible. Oddly enough, it only happens when I’m actually playing a game - it doesn’t happen if I’m in the emulator menu itself.
I’ve tried limiting the GPU, disabling the frame limiter, disabling SMT through Power Tools, moving the roms to the internal drive (I have Emudeck and roms installed on an SD card), and even reinstalled ppsspp/update configuration but the problem still persists. When I check the overlay graph, everything is smooth up until the microstutter occurs, then there’s a small spike. I’m genuinely not sure what else to do here. At this point I’m considering maybe doing a factory reset on my deck, but I wanna exhaust all possible options before I do that, because that’s a bit extreme just for fixing a minor nuisance within an emulator lol.
