Does anyone take extra precautions nowadays to prevent breaks? Over the years when I was a kid parts would just break from trying to make new things and parts stressing over time.. does anyone here like perhaps use a steamer or apply heat so that friction ball joints don't break?
I'm into Transformers and we have similar issues when it comes to certain plastic mixes. (ie: gold plastic syndrome or in binical's case lime green pieces and any ball joint sockets made post 2006 pre 2011)
It's one of the big things that has made me stop MOCing over the years. All of my pieces now exist in bags with silica packets in a massive black tote, toys that don't get played with die and that makes me upset. I just watched Toy Story and the Bionicle movies so maybe I'm a bit emotional about this lol
