I'm not really a Legion of Super-Heroes reader (I have been interested in checking them out after reading Geoff Johns' fantastic Action Comics storyline, Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes), so when I got to the LOSH issues of the second Man of Steel hardcover, I was a little lost at first with what was going on.

I was able to figure it out more later on, and I know this is meant to be a Pocket Universe version of Superboy (and not the Earth-1 version), but I feel it's something that people don't bring up enough here. Especially with the new LOSH reboot happening recently.

Regardless, I did enjoy the issues, though. And even as someone who didn't read LOSH, but was able to gain context of it via the Geoff Johns storyline, I did have a bit of an emotional reaction when Superboy sacrificed himself to prevent Time Trapper from destroying his Earth and to help the other Legion members get back to their time safely.

But still, I'd like to see more thoughts shared about it. If there are any out there?

(Quick disclaimer before all you guys call me out: Yes. I know there's a much more affordable compendium with more stories from the Johns run of Green Lantern. I just completely forgot about that existing after I made the purchase. Please, I am still a starting collector of omnis. Just let me be.)

With that said, still a sick pickup from CGR that I made last week while I was on vacation.

I've been wanting to get more into the Absolute lineup. I've already got the first volumes for Superman and Batman respectively, so I might as well get Wonder Woman to complete the Trinity. And I've been digging what I've read of Absolute Supes, so I picked up the second volume while I was at it.

As for the Wonder Woman omni, I just wanted to have at least one omni for the Trinity also. I would've been down to get the first Perez omni, but it's pretty hard to find for a decent price (plus I already recently spent a lot on the fourth hardcover of Man of Steel), so I just went for the Rucka omni instead, which many still consider to be one of Diana's best runs.

And yes, like I said before, I know the Compendium has more (and better mapped) stories for a better price. I just sorta jumped at the first omni without putting the compendium into consideration. I'm only human, please. But that aside though, I did want it out of the fact that it's one of the defining runs of DC in the 2000's. And I always thought Green Lantern was really cool as a kid. Plus, with the new Lanterns show on the horizon, I thought I'd pick it up for the occasion.​

I really didn't intend to collect all four hardcovers of John Byrne's run... but here we are. The fourth one is notorious for being hard to find for a good price, so I was able to find at the best possible I could find it for.

I will say, I really don't like how the first spine is blue and everything else is red.

But with that being said, I do dig the covers without the sleeves. Say what you will about John Byrne as a writer, but his Superman does look pretty bada$$. ​Credit should also be given to Jerry Ordway, too.

So despite everything, I'm happy that I was able to at least own the complete Byrne run just so I could have more full context heading into The Exile omnibus. And then I'll get the Brainiac Reborn omni, and I can FINALLY jump into the Triangle Era omnis.

Started reading the City of Tomorrow Compendium and this spread from Action Comics #760 (which I believe is the start of Joe Kelly's run), might just be one of my new favorite pages that beautifully sums up the "Never-Ending Battle" element of Superman's character.

But honestly, I also think I just really like the picture of Superman chilling with a whale he saved.

Okay, this isn't my ENTIRE collection. I'm still awaiting some replacement cases for some Power Rangers seasons, I've got other movies stuffed in other cases to make room, and I have a whole other bunch of anime DVDs in my closet. But I'm too lazy, so I'm just gonna show off the movies and shows (and music, too I guess) that I currently have in my living room. Enjoy!

I've said a couple days back that my birthday was recent. I've also said that the InStock order I made kinda took awhile because they were apparently out-of-stock of these for a while. So after 2 weeks of waiting, I finally get to add these bad boys to my collection.

As stated, I've been wanting to read more 2000s Superman after recently completing the first New Krypton omnibus and I really like the writer's lineup for what's basically a new "soft reboot" during the final years of the Triangle Era.

And with the new season of Invincible out, I thought it'd make sense to finally pick up the next Ultimate Collection volume.

Might get some more pickups in before May ends. Been wanting to get into Mark Waid's FF run, so I might pick up the four trades consisting of his entire run while I still got the chance.

I've always been a fan of comics & manga, but it wasn't until my birthday a year ago that I decided to pick up a whole bunch of Superman comics in preparation for the then-new Superman film by James Gunn that I really rediscovered my love for this medium. And 1 year later, I've managed to dip my toes into more trades, hardcovers, Compact Editions, and even some omnibuses along the way. So, I thought, what the heck? Why not share how my collection has come so far since then. And hey, I'll even throw in an image of my collection when I got my first bunch of Superman comics from a year ago today.

(And no, I did not get all these comics in a year. Feel free to ask about certain entries down below!)

So I'm recently just getting back into Adventure Time after finding the first season during my village's garage sale​. And after learning about the gimmick that these season DVD sets had, I just had to pick up the slipcover that came with the first season.

What can I say? I just really like it when physical media gets creative when it comes to their box art and other stuff. I already just ordered Seasons 2-4, so I'm really psyched for what they got. (As you can tell, Season 1 is Finn, and the next three seasons are Ice King, BMO, and Marceline.) Hopefully, I'll be able to obtain the rest of the OG series in the future.

I've been wanting to read some more early 2000's Superman stuff until the next New Krypton omni comes out. (Plus, felt right with the recent announcement of the new season of MAWS.) And with Invincible being the massive talk again recently, I decided to finally follow-up from the first Ultimate Collection I got a year ago and finally get back to reading more.
