Azir V Nocturne Ult

I'm trying to figure out if there is any specific tech here that I might be missing. I'm planning on going into a practice tool with my friend to test some stuff out, but I'm wondering if people might have already figured out the answer.

The problem: Nocturne ults in on you and is in the process of blowing you, a sad Azir main, up. His spell shield will make it impossible to get Azir ult off quickly, allowing him to potentially even get his full fear off let alone all of the auto's before then. The other problem is that his character model is basically inside of Azir, blocking any attempted shuffle to get away.

The only thing I have theoretically figured out is, if you have enough hp and ALL of your cd's, you could pre-place a guard on top of you when your screen goes black and q him the second his spell shield comes up. After that, you then ult him away. This strat is very tricky and inconsistent in my head because he could delay his spell shield or just kill you before your ult goes off.

What I imagine MIGHT be possible (this is what I'm asking for help for) is a way to walk/kite in reaction to the direction he's coming from that allows you to avoid his character model and get the dash off. Alternatively, if the nocturne ult speed is faster than Azir dash, I was thinking maybe dashing just before his ult touches you? I'm not sure if this will help with positioning yet or if he still just kills you. Idk, I'm kinda lost on this one.

Also, Zhonya's feels pretty useless. It's a massive CD for Nocturne's 20 second CD late game. So your surviving like 1/4 nocturne ults if your lucky. Even then, you likely just delay your death which is marginally helpful sometimes. I was also considering banshees veil to maybe block the initial ult damage in combination with the spell shield break + ult idea.

I know, low elo problem or whatever, but seriously. Other than flawlessly tracking him in the jungle (which depends a lot on your jng and support), I feel like the counterplay here is very tough and specifically bad for Azir. Any thoughts?
