Help on which visa/path to apply for.

Hi all! Looking for some advice on which visa to best apply for. I am Irish with an Australian partner. We have been living together in Ireland for the past year, relationship for a year and a half. Have recently found out my partner is pregnant with our first child! She is due in November and wishes to have the baby in Australia to be closer to friends and family support. We were planning on moving to Australia next year so I have no issues escaping the Irish “summer” early. Only issue is which visa to apply for.

It’s my understanding that the de facto partner visa suits me best. Our relationship is legitimate and we intend on marriage down the line. Only issue is I believe there is no temporary visa granted if applied for offshore? It would make more sense to apply onshore to avail of the temporary visa. The problem I’m afraid of is going over in August and being denied entry as I would have no visa, which brings me to think maybe applying for a working holiday visa would make more sense? Smaller cost, granted faster, would ensure I can get over and be there and work to earn and apply for the onshore partner visa. My questions are A) is this method ok? And B) will there be any issues from the government if I apply for a de facto visa while on a working holiday visa?

Any advice or thoughts appreciated :)
