Hello!! I have a Samsung Washing machine model wa45n3050aw/a4 with some issues, I narrowed it down to the pump or something else that may cause the pump to not kick in.
IF I can get it to cycle, it runs a normal cycle but never drains. Sometimes, it stops cycling alltogether and will not do anything other than lock/unlock the lid and the lights blink but not in any sort of error code.
I have pulled the pump off, there was a quarter in the inlet, I removed it and cleaned the pump, attached it and it kicked on while it was hooked to power. I finished installing it and it drained the water that was in the tub.
I finished putting the machine back together and ran a regular cycle, part of the way through I paused it, put it in spin only and started it back up. Nothing. It will not do anything now, even after power cylcing it and holding the start/pause button to drain capaciters no matter what setting I put it on, and rather it is in spin only or not. I hear no bizzing / whirring / clicking of any kind.
While the pump was off I checked the resistance with my multimeter, it was reading about 20 ohms, and the impeller felt springy and gave resistance when turned with my finger.
I am NOT a technician, I am self taight and dont know all of the correct lingo. Just trying to repair my own stuff because feeding two teenagers on one salary is hard enough. Any help or insight you can offer would be amazing.
Thank you everyone that takes the time to read / help!!
