Holy Grail 1981 Peavey T-40

Just had this beast dropped off and I already love it. It's in quite good shape given its age, and apparently spent much of its life in the (original) case. And as a fun bonus it's from my birth year - hence the holy grail title.

ETA: I got it for $1000 CAD

New bass - Peavey Foundation

After a couple weeks going back and forth with a (likely for real) meth head he finally came through. He advertised it as "like new" but she's pretty beat up. In the end I gave him $250 Canuck bucks for it.

Here it is in the garage right now just after getting it. It's surprisingly almost in tune. I've made sure everything works but that's it so far. Knobs are all kinda loose, as is the output jack, but that's all minor stuff I can sort out.

If anyone can explain the Super Ferrite pickups to me I'd really appreciate that as well... They're kinda what I got it for 🤘🏻🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

New (to me) bass day! Pete Wentz signature Squier P

Pardon the junk around my garage practice space 🤣

I'm not really a Fender guy, but I stumbled across this Pete Wentz Squier P for $300 CAD and figured I may as well see what a P bass is all about.

The bass itself is in pretty good shape, with a couple small cosmetic dings and a little buckle rash, and it's in good playing shape. That said, it's absolutely filthy! I'm pretty sure it came from a smoking home - the whole thing is just sticky feeling. I'm going to pull the strings off and give it a good cleaning and I've got a pack of fresh strings coming from Amazon tomorrow (current strings are rusty and sticky).

I'll take better pics and update after that's all done 🤘🏻
