Hi everyone,
I have an ASUS TUF A16 (FA607 series) and I’m trying to figure out if what I’m experiencing is "normal" or not.
When I use an external monitor through DisplayPort (USB-C to DP), I occasionally get random black screens for about 2–3 seconds, then the image comes back by itself. The game keeps running normally in the background.
It doesn’t happen very often, but it’s annoying and I’m trying to understand if it’s something with my laptop or not.
For context:
- My cable is VESA certified (Silkland USB-C to DisplayPort)
- I’m using a 1080p 180Hz monitor
- It has happened in different games and even once on desktop
- No crashes, no artifacts, no errors in Event Viewer
I’ve seen people say DisplayPort works perfectly on the TUF A15/A16, so I’m wondering:
Do any of you with ASUS TUF A16 or A15 have similar black screen issues over DisplayPort?
Or does it work 100% stable for you?
