Lost my rhythm
I started running again last Christmas. Worked my way from a basic 3km run up to doing regular 5-8 km runs 2-3 times a week with a 10-15km on the weekend.
I was pretty comfortable setting pace between 6min/km and 5:15/km depending on the distance and objective of the run.
My two year old brought home a mild cold so I had a week off. Went to do a steady 5km and I was unable to get into any sort of rhythm/flow. I could maintain a set pace for the duration but everything felt out of wack and heavy.
I thought maybe ive over trained I'll scale back to 2 5k runs a week and recover, but even then something felt off. I took another whole week off. Went back for a 3km and still no good.
What has happened? annoyed.
