Getting back into running how progressive shoud l go - Been using "minimalist shoes" for a long time
I'm getting back into running and would like to not injure myself. I'm wondering how progressive I should be considering my feet are already used to minimalist shoes. Should I just follow normal "back to running" program and not care about the barefoot component or really do specific things to help prevent injury from the "barefoot" part.
Background that could matter :
- I stopped running about 7-8 years ago because I had hip pain caused mostly by judo
- I have been wearing "minimalist 0 drop shoes" exclusively for the past 15 years or so
- I still do BJJ"/light Judo which is barefoot and intense on the feet
- Hike barefoot when the weather permits and always barefoot when inside
- I'm already relatively fit from Rock Climbing, Judo/BJJ, Cycling and Yoga
