I'm looking to make a waterproof hooded cloak I can wear when it's raining but there are hundreds of styles and patterns to choose from. I was hoping to find something without arm holes but large enough to cover a backpack and I don't know enough about cloaks to know if any one style is better than another.
I was looking at different materials to use for sound dampening and something came to mind. How effective would hanging strands of flame resistant twine or rope from the ceiling down to about waist level work? In theory having layers of string making a mesh between the mic and walls would break the sound up pretty well but I imagine it would be a nightmare to organize and untangle.
I have decided to challenge myself and take the time to make my own tagelharpa by hand. I specifically want to make a bass tagelharpa and had a few questions on what the dimensions of a build like this would be.
I've done some research and so far I can't find any consistent dimensions. And should it be based on the size of my body or something else?
I know this is a massive project to tackle head on so I just want to find some guidance from people more experienced than me so I have a good place to start.
I'm about a month into my journey in voice acting and have been using my college's recording studio to make a demo reel and apply to auditions. I'm moving out for the summer and won't be able to access it until fall. I know that your other audio equipment matters just as much as the mic but I'm a broke college student who can't afford that. Are there any budget friendly mics that I can use with a Lenovo laptop? I don't need anything too fancy, just good enough. Then I also wouldn't need to put in a request every time I wanted to use the studio.
