Fender Tonemaster FRFR

I've been using the Tonemaster FRFR for a while now, but have yet to gig with it. If you use one, how do you use it in a live setting? do you go to the FOH from the XLR out on Helix or the XLR out on Tonemaster? Also, if you go to the FOH from the tonemaster, can you adjust the volume on it on the fly? or will it affect the FOH sound? TIA

Question about the Volume control knob setting

So in the "ins/outs" page, there is a setting called "volume control knob." My understanding is that if you have it set to "1/4 inch" and you are using a FRFR on stage connected via 1/4 inch cables, then you can adjust the volume knob without affecting the foh signal? so long as you are using xlr to go to foh of course. is that correct?

Hardcore/Metalcore guitarists and Tele and Strat body style

I've noticed in the past few years a lot of metalcore and hardcore guitarists are using the tele and strat style bodies. Mostly the tele, like the ESP tele style guitars. Any particular reason other than just preferring the look? Me personally, I have a old squier body that I modded with a baritone neck and black winter pickups (I was a huge fan of Chevelle growing up lol).

But overall I have always liked the way the traditional fenders feel. Ive never like the "traditional" metal guitars like Jackson, ESP, and Schecter. I would throw Ibanez in that mix, but I feel that a lot of guitarist use them for a wide range of genres, and they aren't as crazy as some of the other "metal focused" guitars. Plus I own a few lol

Any other metalcore guys on here rock a traditional strat/tele body for metal genres? if so why? I'm genuinely curious why you went the same direction I did.
