8 for Edey straight up?

I saw this on the hawks sub, and saw the discussion was polarized. I'm super interested in where the general audience sits.

To be clear, polarized as in half think the Grizz would be dumb to do anything less than hang up the phone, and the other half thinks the 8th pick is worth way more than an injury prone big especially in this draft.

What's Zion's value?

Is he a dump guy? Or is he going to take real assets going the pels way?

Like the hawks, the wolves, the 6ers, the hornets all would probably be looking for a high upside lottery ticket they can send a pick and salary for like KP last year. I just can't get a feel for what the market is for him

Which contracts are actually negative?

For example Hawks had to take on a bad contract in Kispert to get off of Trae.

On the other hand the Mavs got essentially nothing back except cap space for AD.

Is Ja a negative contract so should trades start Ja + a second. Is Randle? What about Bam or Herro? Is Sabonis?

I'm just trying to get a feel for where we are at.

Do any of these combine things matter?

Aside from Height, Hand-size, and wingspan, do any of these combine metrics actually translate to in game production?

If OKC calls what do we want

Let's assume Wagler, and Flemmings (and though I don't want him Acuff) are all taken by pick 8.

If OKC calls to move up to take Ament, or Brown, or Philon, we assume Steinbach or Mara will be available at 12.what would you want back?

Do we want 12, and 17 and McCain? Do we want future picks? What is the package we would consider. Or are you a no package will be good enough.

OKC doesn't have the roster spots fyi.

I want to get this straight. I'm a firm believer in the top 3 are eyes of the beholder. There are no wrong answers.

But given that, I've been shocked lately how there is almost never mocks with Boozer going one. Further, there are occasional mocks of Boozer going 4.

Boozer was one of the best college freshman of all time. Shooting at an above rate, while being an above average defender. In addition was a good creator for himself and others. Both from a face up perimeter position and a back to basket position as a big. He has proven to be extremely versatile and can have his impact felt in a multitude of positional responsibilities. In summary he should be the safe number 1 pick. The guy who regardless of team build will fit and be successful at an all-star to all-nba level.

I am not looking for vindication, I'm just trying to understand why this community sees him, based on the discussions, as lesser than AJ or Peterson?

Let's assume, for a moment, that the top 4 is rigged by the league to maximize long term revenue for the league.

Let's also assume, for this excersize, the league wants star players in big markets, more competition, and also (ironically) higher probabilities of a dynasty.

Last rule there needs to be at least one team with top 3 odds of a top 4 pick. The order of the teams doesn't matter for this excersize.

My first thought was New Orleans, Indiana, Milwaukee, Brooklyn.

This moves Giannis, makes Indiana a real foil to OKC and gives Brk a chance at being interesting.

Mikal Brown Jr to be clear

I have seen the hype and heard the noise on him. I haven't really watched him.

I have one source who I trust who has pretty much said the defense is 0, basically him and Acuff are non defenders.

And then there is the impact. He has solid shooting numbers from all three levels, and good ast/to numbers. But his BPM was really low. Which I can't understand.

Can someone help me on him. Personally, as a hawks fan I'm not super excited about either gaurd tbh.
