Just finished building my first desktop PC. I was already having trouble with the wifi card and had to bring it to a tech shop. They set it up in minutes and sent me on my way.

I get home and turn everything on and it runs perfectly. I download some games and enjoy a leg-less playthrough for the time in a year.

However, after I was done I turned everything off the right way and took a nap. When I came back, the computer lost its wifi. Like, it doesn't even acknowledge the wifi card is installed. Under "hardware and connection properties" it names the card, but says it's not installed.

What happened? How can I fix this? How can I prevent it from happening again?
