I applied for a new ID and passport over a month ago after my name and ID number changed. I initially received an sms acknowledging a receipt of my application. But nothing since and every time I’ve called the phone line or tried to SMS to get an update I’ve had no answer. Is it worth trying to go to the branch I selected for collection to check? Or will I be notified when it’s ready? When I first had my ID issued I remember it taking 3/4 weeks.

Additionally I’ve struggled to find information on confirmation of change letters. If anyone else has gone through similar processes were you able to ask for one at collection so I am able to finally update my details with my bank, medical aid, uni etc

Pretty self explanatory. I’m 11 months on T. Already had a high sex drive before T but it’s insane atm. Masturbation alone only ever got me off if I watched porn but I was badly addicted (would go look at porn whenever I was bored even at uni) and quit after I broke up with my ex.
