Noise from home wall in apartment?

Hi all,

I'm seriously considering building a home wall - but I'm nervous about the noise that climbing on it will create. I'm in an apartment on the 4th floor. I'm building an 8x8(foot) wall.

Have any of you had experience with this? Have you ever had a complaint from a downstairs neighbor or got into some issues because of noise? Do you think this will be an issue?

Alternatively, if you have tips to keep noise down significantly, let me know!

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Anyone build a mini-moonboard in an apartment (renting)?

Hey all,

I really want to build a mini-moonboard, BUT I live in an apartment and will need to move every year for the next 4 years (most likely). SO, I need to design the build so that I can deconstruct it, move it through a doorway, and reassemble it yearly. Does anyone have experience with this?

(The image posted is a blueprint from this YouTube video of just a normal mini-moonboard setup to give y'all an idea)

I am assuming that the default build is not ideal, because you would have to take out the wood screws and re-drill every year - or maybe that's fine? (Like thinking about the connection between the climbing face and the wood supports/frame, would it be okay to remove and re-drill wood screws 5 times?). It seems best to design it in a way that you can deconstruct and reconstruct without damage, but I'm not sure if that's possible.

One idea is to attach the climbing face to the frame with larger screws that go through the 2x6s via countersunk bolts (so the climbing surface is still flat), to allow for nearly infinite deconstructing and reconstructing? Or maybe split the frame in half vertically and find a way to have it stable when constructed? LMK if y'all have any ideas!

Thanks for any advice!

Lack of Continuity Markup in Preview: anyone else annoyed?

Title. WHY apple??? Continuity Markup is such a cool feature... and it's so annoying to not have access to it in Preview! (Having it in Quick Look is cool, but why remove it from Preview!?)

Anyone know why they removed this?
