What do you look for in a name?
I'm not talking necessarily about choosing a name for a child, because then considerations like honouring a family member could play a big role, but more in general, what do you look for in a 'good' name? Is it the number of syllables? Starting letter? The way it looks when it's written? For me it seems to be the ending. I don't really know why. Like almost all my favourite girls' names end in th, eth, ith, it, et.
I also tend to like names with "harsher" sounds- Meredith, Ruth, Micah (for a boy)- rather than 'pretty' names like Aria, Ella, etc.
Interested in hear other people's thoughs!
