Starting wholesaling as a complete newbie.

Hello everyone , I live in Atlanta Ga and Im looking to invest my time into real estate wholesaling and wanted to ask for any helpful, honest advice from people who are currently in the business.

In the past few months, I have done a good bit of research, reading post like these, searching for hours on the internet and reading snips out of books (if anyone has any recommendations for books, I would love to hear them). I understand it’s not quick or easy money. This will take real time, effort, consistency and there will be bumps and rejections along the way.

I landed on wholesaling due to thinking about my future. With the way the world is, a regular 9-5 isn’t getting me out of my parents house. I have a good job that will allow me time to work on this, but life is just so expensive. I need the extra income and I have always been interested in a real estate path, but furthering my education in it just wasn’t in my cards. Luckily/unluckily, I was in an accident some years ago, and that settlement did leave me with a small nest egg. Nothing life changing, but definitely something I could use to hopefully help start my career up in wholesaling.

I would be starting from complete scratch, with not knowing anyone at all in this kind of industry. I don’t have friends, family, connections or know anyone in the business. I know it will be a lot of work, work that I am 110% willing to put in, regardless of the outcome. I won’t ever know unless I try.

I basically just wanted to come on here and ask, is it something that is worth it? Whether it took you 2 weeks, 2 months or 2 years to make your first deal, is it something you look back on and regret ? Especially those starting from 0. I would love to hear about your experiences (good or bad), any helpful tips you may have, recommendations, guidance, absolutely anything you all could offer.

Like I said above, I won’t know unless I try but I would really like to hear people’s honest opinions. I appreciate the time you took to read this and any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you all.
