For context I’m a decently good player (at least I think) with around 130 reps, 40 days of playtime and a near 70% win rate overall. My lawbringer is rep 31. Most of these were grinded when lawbringer still had his flashbang stick, when top heavy blinded and the light attack punish also blinded and you couldn’t chain a light into another light, I also played a lot after the blinding top heavy, but lost the blinding light punish in favour of the guaranteed train/impale on heavy parry. If I recall correctly at some point he also had hyperarmor on the shove. After the big rework he had where he could cancel his shove I stopped playing (was already kinda fed up with the game and this was the last straw).
I came back to the game around two to three weeks ago to find that my main had somehow lost all his blinds, his impale on heavy parry but could now spam lights, shove on light and had a hyperarmor on second heavy as well as having a guaranteed light after a heavy. And after the most recent patch he lost his superior side light attacks.
Yet after all these huge losses (as well as having lost basically 20% of his dmg overall) I see people ranking him S tier for some reason. So I ask of you, what makes this beast that has lost all its fangs a threat ? Why do people call him S tier when he seems to be in his worst ever state since I’ve started playing before marching fire ? Am I mistaken about something or is it just a meme ?
