NKD Ji Rui Apex Ultra Kiritsuke Gyuto

Got this one because I wanted to test Apex Ultra tbh. And I got a thing for Tsuchime/Kurouchi finish.

Go mai construction with apex ultra, nickel and stainless steel clad.

Thicker spine than my Hirakawa. Definitely a laser tho. And so far it seems less prone to rust. Which isn't unusual consideren the composition.

[EU]Cheap stainless steel knives

Hiya peeps,

I'm looking for cheap used VG10, AUS-8, AUS-10 Japanese knives to practice my sharpening skills on. Can definitely be abused.

Only EU and preferably shipping via Mondial Relay if possible.

Thanks!

Magnacut knifewith kurouchi/tsuchime finish

Hiya peeps,

I have a few very nice Japanese knives which I obviously take care of very well. But my girlfriend wants a stainless steel knife.

So I was thinking about trying out a Magnacut Gyuto. But I would like an Kurouchi or Tsuchime finish on it. Is this even possible?

If it's possible, does anybody know a knifesmith that works with Magnacut? Preferably in EU.

As an alternative I'm thinking an Ginsan knife.

My Yasuhiro Hirakawa collection

These were my first knives I bought in Japan. They made me fall in love with Japanese craftsmanship.

I met Hirakawa-san in his shop in Sakai. Even though we had to use google translate to conversate, he still took the time to show me around in his workplace.

The only thing I know it's made from Shirogami #1 in a san mai construction. To me a very traditional looking knife.
