I live in IL, however that may/may not be relevant. I have a will and trust - am updating both next month. I would like to add a friend who doesn't reside (or have citizenship) in USA as a beneficiary. Does anyone have experience with this? What needs to be done/considered? And yes, I will ask my estate attorney but am hoping that this post stimulates good questions for that discussion. If a more appropriate reddit sub exists for this question, please let me know. TIA.
