CG50 Plugins

Hi all, I've seen lots of people preferring the CG100 over the CG50, and that's fine, but personally as a CG50 lover, I wanted to share its capability to install custom plugins, which I believe the CG100 doesn't have. Here's a quick overview of 3 plugins I have installed (loads more are available but these are just the ones I really need):

Khicas:

I'll start with the nerdiest plugin, but the only one on the list that is actually properly useful! This is a cas plugin. Cas stands for "Computer Algebra System" and basically just means that it can manipulate algebra and provide analytic solutions. Neither the CG50 nor the CG100 can do this by default so it is incredibly useful! (This would only be used outside of exams tho because plugins are blocked in exam mode, but it's still super handy). In the images I'm showcasing the very surface features, but these are all incredibly useful imo! It can also do a ton of other stuff that I haven't shown, such as partial fractions, differentiation, laplace and fourier transforms, limits, infinite integrals, literally anything you want! However, I'll say that Khicas is not easy to use and is definitely for the more advanced user. And it's super clunky! Definitely takes some getting used to lol. And it's super easy to crash your calc... I've done it too many times to count! When you do though, you can just take the batteries out and put them back in and it comes back to life so it's fine.

2048:

Goated game that you can even play on your CG50 now!! I must say, it's not perfect and there are some issues with it, such as when the number has 4 digits, it pokes outside the box, leaving a trail behind, since the UI only replaces what's inside each box without clearing what's around it. There's also sometimes an inconsistency when there are 3 identical tiles in a row, and it can be unpredictable which 2 merge. It works well for the most part and is still fun!

Minesweeper:

I personally prefer Minesweeper over 2048, but this plugin has a few more problems, which is understandable since it's a much harder game to make. The problems are mainly to do with mine generation (it's possible to lose on the first move) and guessing situations are quite common (like in one of the pictures), but it is nice that it gives you the option to change grid size and mine number to try and avoid this.

All in all, it is to be expected that the plugins won't be completely perfect since they're such a niche thing, and we're lucky to even have this many free plugins! Khicas is extremely powerful and well made and genuinely blows my mind with how it can maximize the calc's capabilities (but is still a bit clunky imo). Anyways, just wanted to let people know about what the CG50s can really do because I don't think many people know about this sadly!
