I’m currently wanting to retake year 12 and before I’ve done bio chem pysch and flopped that year and I genuinely know I would’ve passed but had too much going on. Should I do maths a level I’ve gotten a solid 7 and good with algebra but I’m unsure if i should.. I’m thinking of doing bio too and I’m good at it content is easy I can remember well, but I’m worried 2 hard a levels. Will I do well if I put in the work..?

Sat 9709 Mathematics papers 13 & 53 in Oct/Nov 2025, and 33 & 53 in May/June 26, with the following raw marks:
13: 70/75
53: 47/50
33: 67/75
43: 44/50
Total: 228/250, PUM 88
A* threshold: 230/250
Seeing that I’m 2 raw marks off I thought it’ll be worth retrieving my marked scripts and checking if it’s worth it to remark. Attached are questions I lost marks on and the mark I was given.

I got 250 on the edexcel A level maths so I missed the A star by 4 marks is there any hope of me getting that A star with a remark or not? I might just be coping but I asked my teacher to have a look before I do anything. I'm a yr 12 student who is doing further maths so I sat them a year early. I did want to do engineering before but pretty much any course requires an A star in maths so I might resit them. Anyone have any advice for me? Edited I forgot to include that I got 82 92 76 on the three papers regardless of what happens I will respond back on this lol.

i’m 2 marks below an A and i’ve gone over my script and my teacher suggests that i only mark pure 2 and stats which have been unremarked by 1 mark each. but he also saw that pure 1 and mechanics were overmarked by 1 mark each so suggested i only remark pure 2 and stats, and not the other ones but i can only request for paper 3 as a whole.
if the above is true then i will likely end up only getting one extra mark, unless the examiner checking the script condoned the same mistake in mechanics as the first? is it worth the risk of getting a remark in this case?
Im going to going to 6th form however i will probably not meet the requirement for maths, for this reason im considering doing maths externally(self taught). Does anyone know if this can work out and if it will be fine for ucas
