Drive link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ZaPWSw4fJ13XzFHUeFhQDIGx80iXlvUZ?usp=sharing

hi, since the s1 and m1 papers are coming, here is a pretty difficult paper we made with original questions. its totally based on everything they test for 9709 maths S1 only.

nothing is from untested material or picked from further maths statistics. hope u guys find it helpful.

and this was made w my friends/team, so credit goes to them as it took quite a bit of time. we guys are also working on an m1 mock paper, want to make it especially difficult cuz cambridge is making more difficult papers for maths from what i can tell

ALSO not sure if cambridge is doing the new format for s1 as well, they probably are so we made it so that u write in different space

Research Program for high school students

Hi, I am Abdul Rehman

*Please do read this, and do try to get us some exposure.*

This is not an advertisement to a business, it is more so me trying to find students who are willing to join me in.

As most of you are currently either an year or two away from college, it is important to understand that for placement in top university programs or receive scholarships: research has become an increasingly important part of that.

In fact, having participated in research can be a life changing experience because your learning curve in university changes drastically, you are able to get better opportunities far easier.

This is not a marketing pitch. Research is extremely important, and those who have done it know that. In fact for Ivy League and T20 US uni's, research is almost a need if you are an international. As almost half of the Ivy students have participated in high school research, and that is not accounting for internationals alone.

Anyways, I'm launching a not-for-profit initiative where I partner with professors from Top Universities who did graduate programs in many of the top us universities. However, I would also warn you: at the Professor level, the university name is mostly marketing. You will find good professors everywhere at every university. You may find professors from stanford that may be participating in academic dishonesty, and you may find nobel prize deserving professors from a very poor area in Sudan or some other unfortunate country.

Now what am I doing different? Currently the market is saturated with programs that charge you upwards of 3000usd-10000usd. While their professors make pretty much a small percentage of that. Our program is designed to eliminate that. Our charges will be much much less and we won't focus on doing random literature reviews that ChatGPT can do. The thing is literature reviews are useful, but only if they make a beneficial conclusion.

We will also work on providing financial assistance to those who cannot afford it. And the research areas will be broad and professors will be from multiple fields. And we will target conferences and focus on you showing your work.

Thank you, please DM me to join a waitlist. This can be life changing if you use it properly to build connections with professors in academia.

    • Built an ML-based acoustic gunshot detection system (this is connected to a crime event that happened related to gun in my village w a friend)
    • Integrated with 30+ security cameras
    • Emergency alert system intended for deployment in underserved/high-crime neighborhoods (also connects with LORA)
  3. Lead Engineer — Rural Connectivity Project
    • Built a LoRa-based mesh communication system for emergencies
    • Designed for rural communities lacking reliable conventional connectivity (implemented in my village, we have 5-6 hour outages on a daily basis and majority has no back up). this is also to notify ppl with cars to help others in case of emergencies.
    • Connected approximately 2,500–3,000 people
    • Focused on medical/emergency communication
    • Working toward a technical paper (probably cant get it publushed rn)

  • Created educational resources addressing social stigma, discrimination, education, employment, and access to essential services.
  • Organized awareness campaigns and discussions to challenge misconceptions and promote greater social inclusion.
  • Connected community members with educational and employment opportunities.
  • Worked to create practical pathways for greater economic independence rather than limiting the initiative to awareness alone.
  • Focused on building a sustainable network that could continue operating beyond the initial campaign.
  • (2000+ members, 300k+ reached, dont wanna mention too much)

Context

I'm from a developing country and became increasingly aware of how unequal access to healthcare, infrastructure, safety, and education can be. Most of my ECs are therefore centered around problems I've personally seen around me.

I'm taking a gap year to focus on developing my technical/research profile rather than accumulating unrelated activities.

Schools

  • Stanford
  • MIT
  • Harvard
  • Princeton
  • Yale
  • Columbia
  • Cornell
  • Caltech
  • Brown
  • UPenn
  • Other T20s

Questions

  1. How competitive is this profile for T5/T10s?
  2. What are the biggest weaknesses?
  3. Does the EC profile look coherent or too broad?
  4. What should I prioritize during my gap year?
  5. What tier of schools would I realistically be competitive for?
