ToTheNew HR round?

I have cleared both the rounds at Tothenew for Data engineering, HR informed me that there will be an F2F HR round as the final round and said this is an elimination round.

Does anyone have any idea what this round is about? what can i expect or what should i prepare?

I asked HR regarding my 2nd round feedback so they mentioned GCP wise it was solid but other cloud and tools are key areas of improvement where training might be required.

Transition to DE dilemma

4.5 YOE in IT and trying to transition into Data Engineering — honestly struggling with confidence.

I started with around 6 months in Azure support, then worked ~3 years in GCP support where I mainly handled BigQuery, Cloud SQL, GCE, GCS, GitHub Actions, Terraform etc.

For the last 1 year, I’ve been part of a GenAI-related project where we mostly deploy and manage models on GCP.

For almost a year now, I’ve been trying to transition properly into Data Engineering roles. I’ve been studying SQL, PySpark, Spark architecture, optimization concepts, pipelines etc. and I do clear some interview rounds too.

But honestly, I still feel fear before interviews.

Sometimes I feel like maybe my background is too support/infrastructure oriented compared to “real” Data Engineers who work deeply on Spark pipelines and ETL systems daily.

And even if I crack interviews, I keep thinking:

“What if I can’t adapt in the new org?”

“What if I can’t sustain there?”

“What if they expect much more than I actually know?”

Has anyone here transitioned into DE from cloud support/platform/infra type roles?

-- I am left with 18 days of NP and hold only 1 offer in hand, yesterday got rejected in the 4th round of an MNC, multiple interviews lined up but i have lost hope for now.

What would be my in-hand?

Can anyone please tell what would be my Monthly In-hand as per this Breakup?

  1. do we get a monthly bonus fixed? or it's dependent on factors?

  2. what about the quarterly bonus?

also, anyone working in TCS noida, how is the working culture there?
