Hi,
Im currently in the process of attempting to open an adapt natwest account and im having some struggles that are leaving me stumped so here's everything that's happened:
They asked for my birth certificate. I went into a branch on Saturday and provided them with the document. On Monday I received the first email from them saying they did not receive the document.
Then, today, my father went in to the same branch, explained this to them, and then I received the second email, claiming the document was "illegible".
We spoke to online support and we found that the part of the document they were claiming to be illegible... was not illegible and literally clear. We explained that to the support.
After like half an hour after that chat, I was sent another email (3rd image and, mind you, I hadn't provided them with the document again by this point as its the same day) saying that the reason they can't accept the document is because it is a "photo copy" despite us giving them the genuine document in the branch.
And now, in the third email, and the third email only, theyre asking specifically for the original. Suspicious considering up until this point they seemed perfectly fine with my certified copy :/
Im just so confused as it's almost like they have a personal vendetta against me 💀.
Genuinely just asking what to do at this point/has anyone had any similar experiences.
BIT OF AN UPDATE -
Went in this afternoon and found that, when the first email was sent, they actually would not have recieved the document as they don't send these things off until the Monday.
The guy himself was confused about the whole emails too but told me that, after I provided him with the account information, the account seemed to be in the process of getting opened, and that I should receive an email tonight or tomorrow regarding it!
