My roommate’s (24F) boyfriend (22M) left his liquid💩 on our bath mat
I’m a 25F who lives with my roommate/ best friend 24F and she has a boyfriend whose a 22M. She just moved in last month and her boyfriend has been spending the night most nights. He is just naturally very socially awkward and often comes to our house and won’t say hello or speak to me when we are in the same room. About 30 minutes ago I heard him use the bathroom and turn the fan on after he left. We live in a small apartment so I know he was the last person to use the bathroom.
I walk into the bathroom and it immediately smelled terrible. Our shower is next to our toilet so the bathmat is on the side of the toilet. I looked down and there was a small puddle of liquid 💩 on the light gray bath mat. I know it’s 💩 bc I tried to wipe it up with toilet paper. I ended up just throwing the bath mat out and ordering a new one on Amazon. I’m not mad that he had an accident, I’m mad that he left his 💩 on our bath mat and there’s NO way he didn’t see it or smell it bc it was the first thing that caught my eye when I walked in.
Do I even approach my roommate about this? How do I even have that conversation? Do I lie about why we randomly have a new bath mat if she asks? I don’t keep things from her but I’m worried she won’t know how to handle this and will just get defensive. Please help!
