I keep not getting approved
I am a single mom trying to get an apartment in Astoria. I have 40k in savings and a 791 credit. I claimed 86k on my 1099 last year. I get paid on venmo for my job ( i am a household manager/ nanny , not really the proper way to be paid but that is besides the point ) I am looking for a 1 bedroom at or below 2,300. All of my info is very organized, 3
months of checking, 3 months of savings, employment letter, taxes, and my paystubs are screenshots of my weekly pay. I have applied to 10 places and I have gotten none. I desperately need a place. does anyone have advice? Or comments / thoughts on how to display my pay / is this what the issue is?
Edit: thanks everything for the feedback! (: yes aware i should be a W2 employee! Just trying to get a home right now so can’t change that atm. going to change from venmo screenshots to formal invoices and see if that helps at all.
