Name:

Anyone have any tricks for getting rid of this annoying tendancy to start responses with the character name? In most of my scenarios the style I dictate causes this not to happen, but in premade scenarios i often find myself needing to fight this tendancy and i'm not sure what actually causes it to show up. If anyone has an instruction that will actually squash it i'd be grateful, because it means I don't need to tear apart the scenario's instrucitons to match my usuals.

Interesting optimization I found

Was interrogating the AI which led to me finding and testing this optimization approach for reduced context length. Potentially very scalable solution for remembering past events, since we can add extra keys for more context and re-use keys in the timeline itself. Seems to work with long timelines. I havn't tested with spaces removed yet. Depicted is a fresh scenario starting with "You look around you. You remember that." and the timeline stored in AI instructions.

Guide feature

I like the new guide feature, it seems pretty robust and achieves what i was already trying with story posts, but without me needing to come up with some convoluted way to imply what's going on in the scene as opposed to just describing it outright. I think this has the potential to be a very strong feature that gives us a lot of control with regards to context and awareness of what's going on in a scene.

I love Wayfarer Small 2

4k context, high quality responses, decent use of context, really inventive plot points, moments of insightfulness that surprise me, and a love for chaos that if well leashed, creates extremely vibrant worlds that can be slice of life. It also in my opinion uses the most natural sounding language, far better imo than any larger model such as GPT or Deepseek. I'm a certified AI writing hater and wayfarer is the only one I've read that sounds like a human wrote it.

Question before I publish

I finished a scenario, during editing I was careful to keep the plot component token amount below the level for free players. However I added a large opening which pushed it far above the free player threshold (2000+). Assuming the AI Instructions, Story summary, Plot essentials and author's note are all below the 1500 threshold when added together, can the scenario still be enjoyed by free players or is the large opening either contributing tokens or adding some other unseen limit?

Quick little mech-themed alien apocalypse scenario

The idea I had going into it is that I wanted the intro to be extremely flashy, exciting, and consistent. So I put a lot of work into forcing the AI to make it dangerous with a timer for survival. Give it a little try and let me know any feedback if you have any.

I didn't get around to putting as much focus on the warfare aspect itself, it kinda becomes more freeform after the intro so you might have to hold its hand a bit later on.

The deaths in this scenario turned out pretty brutal and graphic especially uring the intro, so skip this one if that's not your thing, some of the civilian deaths i saw during testing made me feel nausious.

My best recommendations for a good experience: Check for characters the AI introduces and make barebones story cards for them. I didn't set this scenario up with any premade characters or locations so you will have to take whatever the AI throws at you. I also recommend using story posts and writing "you " manually to get a good atmosphere.

This scenario was made using wayfarer small but I added a bit of extra lore for those with paid subscriptions.

scenario causing AI to consistently make a character a snake

Been working on a scenario where one of the options is to spawn as a mascot character. Try as I might no matter what description I write out the AI always ignores it and makes them a snake person every time. I'm not talking the majority of the time I mean every single time I run the scenario in testing, and i've tested about 30 times. i have tried about 5 differrent iterations of the story card with differrent wording and formatting, some long, some short. There's only about two lines of introductory info and no plot elements. There is literally only the story card for the plush-toy looking mascot character and the AI ALWAYS thinks it's a snake. I have run out of ideas. What could be going on?

Is there a way to automate the waveform shape?

I realize that I may be asking an already answered question, but I can't really find anything about this online.

I am wondering if there is a way to automate the changing of the shape of a chosen waveform (for example when using Vital) so that during the song, the sound of the waveform smoothly changes from something like sinewave to square wave mid-song, going through all the intermediary shapes.

I really like how some of the waveforms sound in Vital when I modify their shape mid-song using the slider. However I cannot find any information about how i might approach automating this process so that it can be heard in the final version.
