Hello,
I’ve had numerous times where I have had absences for mandatory clinicals in my med school. All because my phone alarm does not ring! I hate to say it but I do not want to have to keep changing settings or having to make sure my ringer is on especially after apple removed the ringer toggle switch in favor of the action button.

I’ve woken up countless times where this is my screen but the alarm is ringing

Just to prevent any repeat suggestions, to this day before posting on this Reddit I have already turned attention aware features off.
I’ve had this problem on both the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the iPhone 17 pro max. And I always have the latest IOS installed.
