my iphone 14 (ISO 26.4.2) takes four hours to charge to 80% then once it hits it, it starts going down even while charging. If i use a wired charger its the same, if i use a wireless charger its the same. I’ve got all the updates available but its not charging. is it time to get a new one?

I bought a phone from a friend of mine who had forgotten his passcode we signed in to iCloud and removed the phone from find my and his apple account. I had to plug it into my computer using the apple devices software. The phone is recognised in recovery mode and when i reset and update it. it downloads and extracts the software the phone responds well until the very last portion of the progress bar when i get an error 10 which is a connection or hardware issue. It behaves this way when booted into DFU also help/ advice?

i’ve noticed that apple tends to add a bunch of super random features during OS updates and auto enables them. what’s frustrating is that a lot of these only show desirability to a very niche crowd, and the majority of us who don’t need it are instead surprised with weird technical glitches which make us swear our phone is broken or hacked. one instance of this which i just now found out about is the “raise to listen” feature, something i had no idea was enabled and would never have any use for, which for a while now has been jump scaring me by spontaneously recording voice memos while in imessage threads. just about 10 minutes ago, i stared right into the future at my worn out, torn down soul, as this feature randomly decided to activate during a perfectly healthy time of reminiscing old messages with my beautiful but evil ex who i’m almost a month NC with. knowing that i was a mere finger spasm away from sending an audio file of me breathing, probably with very nasally airflow, to the woman who’s already praying on my downfall was enough to send my nervous system into a deep spiral of morbid shame and self loathing.

this terrifying moment lead me to question whether there are any other useless and dangerous settings similar to this one, which could potentially send me back a few years if i don’t address it now?

My phone keeps involuntarily starting Siri so I turned Siri off but now a blue screen that says “voice control” pops up every other second. Is there a way to turn it off? It’s making my phone unusable. I’ve tried tweaking the accessibility settings with no luck

The phone is refurbished (Im not sure if that is the problem). I need 13 Gb of storage to do a new update.

I have deleted well over 10 gb of apps in order to temporarily make room for the update. It shows the full storage amount decreasing intially but then it fills up again?

At this noint i have deleted 1/3 of the apps off my phone and its still roughly the same amount of space i stared with. I have tried restarting, I waited 5 hours (although i did redownload one or 2 apps during this time period) the storage amount would fluctuate small amounts. I also took some screenshots and they dissapeared👍

I can’t seem to keep lightning cables working. I’m talking every one I get my hands on lasts two or three weeks and then I’m having to hold one of the ends in certain positions to to keep it charging. I’ve never had this problem with type c or micro usb cables. It makes no sense.

For a while now I haven’t been able to receive sms from apps or what not. For instance if I try to sign up on an app they’ll send a code but I’ll never receive it. I’m not sure why.

I am trying to transfer my photos from my Samsung Galaxy phone back to my iphone 17 pro max. When it transfers a couple hundred photos are out of order when sorted by "date captured" but when I select "Recently Added" they are all in order but it separates videos from photos so my timeline restarts midway down. How can I fix this? I have already reset the iphone twice and transferred the data but it comes out the same.

So basically my iPhone (16 Pro Max running iOS 26.5, just updated but issue was there before) is very, very slow on the internet

I have 200mbps at school and 1000mbps at home, when I do a speedtest on the iPhone it does show high speed (when it is capable to start the speedtest!)

It's very intermittent, sometime I can't even load apps like my bank it just continuous loading and then it says "An error has occured" and it's like that for all apps.

I disabled the custom DNS that I had, so I'm in automatic mode right now.

I have no idea what this bug is, the Wi-Fi chip in the phone seems to be working good since Apple CarPlay works flawlessly (it works with Wi-Fi) and no problem there, is that a bug in newer iOS updates?

It's very frustrating.

EDIT : Forgot to add, I tried restarting multiple times, using Airplane mode, updating apps and phone, nothing changed.

I updated my iPhone 16 PRO MAX TO THE LATEST IOS26.5
Since then my phone is getting slower and slower until this week where it’s freezing up completely
After several restarts and hard restarts
Nothing is happening
I backed it up to iCloud wiped the phone reloaded all back up again and it’s still the very same

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT ?

Hello, I’m using a iPhone 16 (base model) and I’m playing a game on roblox called “guts and blackpowder”, there are times that fps drops below 60 (lowest is 27fps) but most of the time it’s 60-61 but my concern is it sometimes fps drops. Can someone tell me if this is normal? I mean in my other phone gnb is so laggy.

I'm stumped. I recently did a factory reset of my iPhone SE 3d gen. This phone was bought new (way back when)
After the reset and after the normal setup, I signed in to my Apple account and setup my Facetime and noticed my email address and my phone number for my caller ID. There's my phone number where I can be reached but there's another phone number below mine. I've never seen that number and have no idea where that number came from. That's really weird!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a group chat with a person whose phone number i don’t want to save. Apple keeps suggesting a name and photo for the person but I don’t want to see the photo or the name

for context, we have a lot of conflict and i don’t like seeing this person‘s name or picture when we have to communicate in the group chat. I also can’t leave the group chat because it’s important… I just want to have as much “distance” as possible from this person if that makes sense 😭

I’ve already created a new contact and then deleted it so it returns to the “no photo no name” display but it has returned… :( is there a way to disable the contact suggestions?
