Factory Glued Cap

Hello everybody.

I’m still a newbie and I have an annoying issue that I’m hoping more experienced folks can help with.

I have a brand new Timbertech AG-183K airbrush (it’s their “fancier” model, but still a cheap). I’ve added a couple pictures so you can get an idea of what I’m dealing with. Haven’t painted with at all yet, as I wanted to make sure everything was working okay. As I was testing out the trigger the needle kept sticking. So I take it mostly apart, cleaned the needle etc, reassembled, but started sticking again. So this time I took the nozzle caps off and realized that the issue is the head cap has been factory glued for shipping, and that glue has seeped down into the rubber washer (sorry I forget its real name) (EDIT: o-ring!) and into the nozzle itself, so the whole thing is stuck.

The little wrench it came with is already bent from my efforts, and I do have soft jaw pliers, but sadly they are to small. But I have other pliers I can cushen. However, I’m definitely not strong enough to break the seal. I think my dad could for me, but before I ask him I wanted to ask for advice if anyone has experience with this. Could I just soak the whole thing in cleaner or iso alcohol? Will this damage the rubber? Is there something else I could use to soak that won’t hurt anything? I’m really hoping to desolve the glue a bit before forcing and end up breaking the nozzle.

Any advice would be very appreciated! And please forgive any formatting issues and the wordiness.
Thanks!
