I’ve put way too much thought into this. Ever since I commented on a post about how off the dress she picked was I couldn’t help but think of what kind of dress I would pick for her. And from there it spiral into bridesmaid dresses and bouquets.
My reasonings for each
Wedding dress: When I think of Lorelai I think of lace, Art Deco, vintage inspired, with a hint of non-traditional with either beading or maybe a bit of color. I would not put her in something too puffy since she seems to favor slip dresses or more form fitting silhouettes. We almost never see her in something fuller than a light a line. Some of my favorite looks for Lorelei are when they did nods to mid 19th century inspired dresses so that’s where I would keep her. My favorite dress is the first one but it feels more like a winter wedding dress. Still when I see it it screams Lorelai to me
Bridesmaid dress: I love the green one, it’s light and airy and it’s similar to other dresses I’ve seen Rory wear in the show. I think it would be great for the June wedding she described. The pink is gorgeous too also light with an antique/vintage feel but a little different. Rory would look amazing in either one obviously.
Flowers: I always wanted her to have snowdrops at her wedding. There’s the subtle hint to her love of snow but snowdrops also symbolize resilience, rebirth, and hope which would be a great reflection of her journey on the show. Another flower I would like for her are Camillas. Also a winter flower and they symbolize lasting devotion and deep faithful love which I think would’ve been amazing for Luke and Lorelai pre season seven. Both these flowers are notoriously hard to put in bouquets from what I remember but this is a fantasy
