Fists of Fury

>A new questline: Learn your master's teachings and philosophy. This will, quite coincidentally, require you to face some of Avalon's greatest threats using nothing but your fists.
>
>A new weapon category: Fistfighting Weapons let you fight unarmed... while technically staying armed.
>
>New armor and items: Because every advantage helps. Especially when it makes your fists hit harder.
>
>A new skill tree: Because no build would be complete without having to spend some hard-earned skill points on it.
>
>A mysterious traveler in the Horns of the South

Console Highlights:

>Dev Note: Another optimization pass is live, and this one lands across the board: expect stability and performance improvements on all platforms, in all areas of the game. The biggest improvements should be visible on PC, Steam Deck, and Steam Machine (5 to 30 extra FPS, depending on your setup). Console versions should see around 2 extra FPS, along with better overall stability. We keep saying it, and we keep meaning it: we'll keep fighting for every frame (with our bare hands, if needed).

Xbox Play Anywhere:

>Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon now supports Xbox Play Anywhere! Your saves and your achievements carry over between the two, so you can leave Avalon on the couch and pick it up at your desk exactly where you left off.

>If you already own the game on Xbox, there’s nothing else you need to do. Everything launching today, including the free Fists of Fury DLC and patch 1.30, is live on both.

Bonus Content #4 (DLC#6)

>Archer Set: The Scalesong Set is forged for heavily armored archers who fear no enemy and want to hold their ground.
Mage Set: The Dolorous Pilgrim Set is made for mages who draw power from bloodletting, pain, and self-sacrifice.
New Weapons: Bows and Wands.
All new weapons can be purchased from blacksmiths and can be found during Wyrdnight, as unidentified loot.
A new romance (?) option: if you bought the house in Cuanacht.....
(PC) Ultra+ graphics preset: Steam patch notes have before and after images and is showcased in the trailer. Check it out.

Some Patch Highlights:

• There were a lot of Challenge Mode fixes/changes
  • [Challenge Mode] Fractured Guard debuff is now discarded after any attack, not only after a successful attack
  • [Challenge Mode] Fixed an issue with the Faltering Strikes debuff having an unpredictable interaction with the Best Offense talent, resulting in the player dealing infinite damage
  • Plus more
• Talent tree tooltips are now clearer
• Some recipes and quest items can now be sold again, they cannot be dropped to prevent unintentional losses

Console Highlights:

>Dev Note: Additionally, we're also continuously working on optimization across all platforms, so you can expect a few more improvements before the year is out.

• [Consoles] the world should no longer slowly load in after a fast travel
• Decreased intensity of DualSense vibrations on PS5

One Year Anniversary DLC #5

>Party Time for Qrko! It wouldn’t be a proper birthday bash without the right attire. Qrko is fully embracing the festive spirit with a brand-new, extremely stylish birthday party hat. Let’s be honest - they’ve absolutely earned it. And what about something for you? We’ll let you discover that on your own!

>New Birthday Quest: A mysterious invitation (received after finishing the Cuanacht story) leads to a secluded celebration for King Arthur. Follow the trail, uncover the truth, and claim what was meant as tribute. Spoiler: it’s worth it!

>New Items: Complete the Birthday Quest to earn 5 new armor sets, a wand, and a bow. Each one brings fresh gameplay features and opens the door to new playstyles. We really can’t wait for you to use them to craft some nice, unique, and definitely not-at-all-broken builds!

>The "Gone Fishing" Workaround: We heard you loud and clear. We know that trying to catch every single fish for that specific, incredibly tedious achievement has tested the sanity of even our most hardened players. So, we added a new feature: you can now just buy the fish.
Is it technically cheating? Yes. Is it morally questionable for a legendary hero of Avalon to buy their fishing trophies at the local market just to flex on their friends? Absolutely. Do we judge you? Not even a little bit.

Some Patch Highlights:

• Completing the Lancelot dungeon now rewards Summon Sir Lancelot.
• Added small optimizations, especially in fights with many NPCs.
• Challenge Mode Tweaks
• Summons of the Knights of the Round Table now have unique one-liners.
• Fisher King’s Successor can now be completed by buying fish from a vendor.

Console (PS5&XBox) Note: The devs have pushed the patch and DLC to the platform companies. As to when they will release them to you is out of the devs' hands. It usually takes 1-5 days. This patch and bonus content will show up as a base game update (not in the store page).

Challenge Mode DLC #4

>Challenge Mode is a brand-new way to play for those who crave tough challenge and unpredictability. As you develop your character via various gameplay systems, you also have to choose meaningful debuffs that make the game WAY harder. You can think of it as our own take on the “roguelike” formula; the stronger you become, the harsher conditions you face.

How to Access:

>Challenge Mode functions as a brand-new difficulty setting. It becomes available only when starting a completely new playthrough (new save file) from Act 1 (skipping the prologue). Once chosen, the Challenge Mode difficulty cannot be reverted.

Patch:

>Along with the challenge mode, we’re rolling out patch 1.22 for the game! As per usual, there are a lot of general fixes and improvements, as well as gameplay and QoL features.

Some Patch Highlights:

• [XBOX] Fixed DLC detection resulting in DLC missing and locked saves.
• The wyrdstalker is now a lower tier on his first combat appearance (statuses work on this one).
• Fixed an issue that caused players who visited exactly 4 tombs to not get the Merlin's Tomb quest.
• Fixed the disappearance of item set slots when you deposited the items to a container or dropped them.
