Board game advice
Hey all, recently just got myself the board game after playing the RPG and falling in love with the setting.
Is it worth getting it for the physical cards? I can see there was an update pack available but is going for stupid money 2nd hand now.
Ultimately I think id like to try it both in its original rendition and the updated version anyway, just wondering since ive jumped in with both feet should I go all the way 😅
How good is this game in terms of “soulslike” qualities? (Explained below)
Weird title, but I didn’t know how else to ask this or what it’s called lol. Basically I love games with fully skill based combat and high build diversity, like in the souls games, you can fight the final boss at level one because you have dodge I frames. You don’t need to kite enemies, cheese, min max, or do any other things, it’s just raw skill. Is this game like that in that you don’t need specific abilities or to be a certain level to fight without cheesing? (Like in Skyrim, how technically you can fight at any level but you need to kite enemies and hide behind jank and stuff.)
Second, how “specialized” can you make builds? Often I like to make very specific types of builds, like a fire only mage who specs into damage amplifiers, a regeneration tank, status affliction build etc. Can you specialize and mix and match, or is it more like “You’re a mage, but can restrict yourself to fire only, though it provides no benefit.” Type of thing? I really don’t mind if it’s not op, as long as it’s not nuclear bomb vs wet paper towel kinda differences, I just find the build diversity and different fantasies fun.
Sorry if these are weirdly specific things to ask lol, I have weirdly specific tastes and I feel like this game is bordering on being very fun or very boring for me based off what I’ve seen!
Finally
After 45 hours i finally got every achievements. I would like to know what you guys think is the most op class based on your experience
Thoughts on staffs and cubes
I've started playing some days ago and i'm not convinced too much on staves and cubes gameplay: i feel like they limit too much the agency you have with equipping two different active things in hands...
I started thinking this when i started building toword a dot build using poison spray, and it basically require to have a dedicated staff, and the game moved from being a skyrim/souls like to being almost a doom like with only one weapon... i don't know, i feel like i would like for the staffs to do some active effect
Also i don't find interesting to play with cubes... the fact that most of them require a lot to charge make my brain go into "this is a scarce resource, use it when you really need", so, never.
I think if they had a passive recharge like that one cube from the dlc, then this would have been mitigated
What do you think?
Is my char looking too girly?
Got this queens armor set recently from that fallen kingdom and the stats are p cool but man the armor plus his pose is kinda zesty 😂
Does Galahad's Mace get the wave attack when it's requirements are met?
Pretty sure this weapon is an upgrade for my two-handed build, but it needs 3 Spirituality, and I'm not sure that's worth the return on investment. Unless it gets that wave attack he uses in the boss fight. Does it? Or is it just a big flaming mace?
Might be worth it regardless, honestly, as I could make some use of a origin potion right now to get that up and running now.
AM I seeing things?
So look in the little tomb of Arthur there are more than one body in there. In fact you can see it from multi angles. Who is in there with him?
First playthrough
I managed to parry Abigor 20 times in order to offer him the his last breath.
Is there anymore lore I can find related to his situation?
Side note: what do you guys think of the parry dagger/sword and duelist sword combination?
Any ideas to help a guy dual weild would be great thanks!
If death was a knight! I like that this pole arm matches my armor! Wdyt?
Difficulty Balance Check
Was curious if the game has had any recent improvements to difficulty balancing. When I tried it in January the game became extremely easy half way through Act 1 and I got bored. Has that been fixed?
If not, what are some fun build ideas for being OP? Id like to continue the game because world and story seem great.
DLC vs base game
I finished the base a while back and was one of the best open world RPGs I've ever played but haven't played the dlc yet, is it better than the base game?
Sanguinor the Crimson fight impossible
I might be going crazy but every time I hit him, I get bleed stacks? Is this a bug?
am i underlevelled? idk what to do about those summons
A tip for a difficult act 1 boss, and a question
Galahad was stomping me into the ground, so I tried something crazy: I used that consumable from the bounty target that makes your next sneak attack an insta kill, and I crept slowly to the right side of the stairs to not activate the cutscene. One shot from my bow and pow, it fucking worked!
My question is, am I going to regret not saving that obviously amazing item for a later situation in the game?
Edit - Am I going to regret not having that conversation with him before the fight?
Wyrdspawn swarm is scary.
There were more than I expected, I got surprised behind my back, that was scary even for my minmaxed character. I almost died...
B.
I made some blacksmith gay by accident and then purposely accepted their accidental and rather forced love.
Did I lock myself out of a quest line for the entire playthrough?
Hi there.. i found this dude in a cage and I told him, he has to go his own ways. Now the assassins don't seem to spawn in at all. I thought maybe they will be waiting there for me to either kill them or for them to invite me. But it looks like I now locked myself out of a quest chain I actually intended to do. I also have no save file before I sent bro on his way, since I found him very early in the game. Can I still join them or do I really have to either start a new playthrough or wait until ng+?
