I love this game and lore! Very meta but I am trying to understand the story of Arthur's beginning, his reincarnations and connection to the fisherman (Hob) and the fore-dweller Prince. When Arthur was first born was this a way of the fore-dweller Prince being reincarnated? Like the Prince has always been Arthur, Or was the prince's soul woven into his soul later on with Arthur's different reincarnation?
How does Hob play into all this? Was he Arthur originally or is he a fraction of his soul? Is he alive or a spirit or aspect of arthur? He seems to be everywhere and how is that possible?
The first piece of Arthur's soul that you see in the game and connects to you is referred to his (Arthur's) hunger. His hunger for peace, is hunger for conquest? What is that exactly of his aspect of his soul that you come in contact with and attaches to you? How is your game character different from any of these other reincarnations? Like every time he has reincarnation is it just reconnected to somebody else's soul or is it like rebooting him completely?
Lastly how is the immortality of Caradoc different from the Sewal and of Arthur's? Caradoc can I come back with no problem and no repercussions. Sewal seems to be trapped in an embryo bubble. And Arthur seems to be less of himself each time he's reincarnated so his immortality seems to be he can die but has to come back another way instead of like Caradoc who can get back up and be fine later.
I know this is a lot of questions but love this game and just looking to understand it more so any insight will be awesome!
Also share your favorite lore from this game! Thank you!
I have been feeling overwhelmed with life and lost and tired...
To start with home life. I work a very stressful job at a restaurant being an AGM. I get paid well but the money is split between two households. One for me and my wife to live in a one bedroom apartment and the second to help my father to pay bills so he can take care of my sibling's two kids. I have been doing this since being 19, I'm now 33. I don't mind but it comes down to me having to take out a loan so he could have a 3 bedroom trailer so everyone has their own room and every time I see him he has to mention how this trailer is a "piece of shit". But it was brand new we did this in 2021. He always talks about how it's to put "lipstick on this pig" so we can sell it and make money off it but this is the cheapest option with getting a 3 bedroom and in time it will be cheaper for him to stay once the loan is paid off so he can just do the lot rent. I feel underappreciated with what I did for him...
So on top of that 3 years ago I found out I have a cyst in my brain the size of a baseball. Right now it doesn't affect me and hopefully will not cause problems down the road but to find out I had this we have to do two MRI. One to see it and measure the size and the second to make sure it's not growing and to all that to be left with a 15,000 bill cause insurance wouldn't cover it.
Next my best friend had a stroke 4 months ago and cause of that I have been helping him by paying his bills and his rent so he is not homeless just cause we are waiting for SSI to approve him for financial help. He lives with another friend they try to help him but needs help with bills so I do my best to help otherwise they could end up homeless.
So with just a taste of my stresses and life we come to work. I am a AGM as a restaurant for 4 years now and try my best to create a culture of care and a place where employees come to feel safe. We have always had a low turn over rate (averaging somewhere between 3-7 %) but regardless of that it can be very stressful trying to replace the employees that do leave it seems to be getting hard year by year. And this year has been very stressful with people who have been with us for 5-9 years are leaving us and it's hard to replace that knowledge. And we had a manager put in a two weeks notice in 3 days ago decided that they would not be finishing their two weeks leaving us not really and understaffed... The restaurant work is hard and being a salary AGM does not make it easier... Long hours, difficult customers and short staff... But I need this job cause of the high pay to afford to take care of everyone in my life. A part of me wants to run away and have a less stressful job and do what I can to take care of me and my wife but to do so would cause others to suffer... The court won't allow my niece and nephew to stay with us due to not having enough room and they've been with my dad since I was 19. He is a great grandfather even if you wasn't a great father, regardless of always complaining he takes care of them really well and wouldn't want to destroy their family dynamic. If I don't help my best friend with this stroke it could end him being homeless. I got to pay my medical bills cuz I don't have a choice to be put into collections. And with work if that was the one part that could at least be stable and not so overwhelming I feel like I could get by. All this chaos in my life is overwhelming. I think the first thing is will work get better? How do I re-staff with good long-term employees? Is this just a phase or the rest of my life? Is there any hope
