I attempted to remove the aerator for cleaning. Used channel lock pliers, turned counter clockwise, heard a "SNAP".

The aerator came off along with a chunk of this hard plastic. Photo #2 look inside, there's a hard plastic tube inside the faucet neck.

WHAT is this tube? Never seen one in a bathroom faucet, and it makes it impossible to remove/clean the aerator since it's attached. I'm going to have to buy & install a whole new faucet.
