It’s the closest Gym to my house, but I’m not going to lie, that parking lot looks like you’re straight up asking to get bipped. Anyone have any experience going there? Someone tried stealing my car at the coliseum bart parking lot about three years ago, so I don’t think I’m being paranoid for asking.
Edit: y’all, I’m not wearing a trenchcoat and a flight suit to the club or anything. Im an extremely white looking dude who has piercings and tats, who usually wears a metal band shirt and black jeans. I look collected enough to barely change my appearance at my corporate job.
So for context, I’m a tall guy with a pretty alt/metal/goth style, so I am very aware how much I stand out like a sore thumb in most crowds.
I love live comedy, I try and go a few times a year at least, usually local clubs and comedians.
Lately I’m starting to get really frustrated that every fucking comedian starts making jokes about how I look like a school shooter. To be clear, I’m not trying to say it’s too taboo to make jokes about school shootings. Is it in bad taste? Yea, but that’s not my point.
What I am tired of is having to stare blankly at the comedian on stage instead of trying to force a fake laugh for a shitty joke I’ve heard a dozen times before.
Really trying not to be that guy who heckles over bad crowd work, but if it keeps happening then I’m not sure how much I want to keep supporting the scene.
