So, today marks the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster. I won’t go into the historical details of this event, since you’re already familiar with them. Anyone who’s interested can read more about it online. Right now, I just want to share this song with you — it’s a kind of requiem for those past events. It resonates with me as a Ukrainian. Even though the song is about dogs, there’s a lot in common with people. The only difference is that they weren’t shot. They died on their own, and those who survived gave birth to children with disabilities after being exposed to radiation. Don’t forget to put on a protective vest while listening. Enjoy ☢
