Finally the found her back in 2903

A drifting capsule far across the galaxy

Of all the things she could’ve been it had to be this way

A lone survivor until her dying day

Adrasteia, the quest never died in your heart

Your fearless heart

Had always belonged to the stars

She could have chosen any field

In which to leave her mark

But signed up for a mission

That soared into the dark

A lifelong odyssey that took their vessel far

Captured the last moments of a dying

Massive star

Adrasteia, hope never left your heart

Your fearless heart, true to the end

As it was true from the start

On their return the mothership was destroyed

A piece of cosmic debris

Leapt out of the void

A shattering explosion

That no one could survive

She barely made it to the lifeboat alive

In total isolation

Drifting deeper into space

They lost communication

But she carried on in case

The writing, art and poetry

That one day would enthrall

A beacon for humanity

Of grace and hope for all

Adrasteia, gifted child

With the world at your feet

The world you left

Without adventure your life was incomplete
