>Smell of death is in the air, rotten flesh is what you care
As the quarters the unknown corpse, filling up it all with blood
Now that evil has been fulfilled, you can make all your questions
Lust of wealth sex and power, filling deep that dark desire
But the night is going to end, and you cannot forthee stand
When the sun is rising high, trying to bring the right life
Oh but never never never, could it more sustain
Cause black power on the earth, is now ready to explode again

It's Halloween again, it's spooky season, and no one does spooky better than the Italians. We took a year off from our Autumnal trip to Italy but we're going back this year. This time to the north of Italy, to a city called Alessandria in the Piedmont region. Famous as being the birthplace of Umberto Eco and more relevantly the mighty **Mortuary Drape**!

This is a band that has gone through a ton of different lineups over the years, so the one name you'll need to know is that of the off and on drummer, only vocalist, and sole constant member Wildness Perversion. Formed in 1986 originally as a trio, then a quartet, and finally in the late 90s settling on a quintet lineup, this is a band who's sound can only properly be described as "occult black metal". Using a first wave black metal sound as their basis, they throw in a healthy dose of heavy metal and death metal into their sound to create a sound that's wholly unique.

A band, as you can tell by their band photos, that has a big focus on the macabre and the horror. Dressing as vampires and ghosts and using actual, real corpses for their covers. There's really no one more appropriate for Halloween than a band like Mortuary Drape. Schedule is as follows:

* Week 1 (10/11-18): Into the Drape, All the Witches Dance, Mourn Path (optional), Secret Sudaria, Tolling 13 Knell
* Week 2 (10/18-25): Buried in Time, Black Flames of Blasphemy (optional), Spiritual Independence, Wisdom - Vibration - Repent, Black Mirror
