Hi all! I studied Civil Engineering in college and since graduation have worked in engineering and construction roles.
I am now 32 and have been contemplating switching to medicine. I'm looking for any advice on how to make the switch as I don't have all of the pre-reqs and currently have a very demanding job. I have all of the math requirements but haven't taken a science class since high school. I've noticed that some schools don't require pre-reqs while others do.
Also, are clinicals required for the majority of med school applicants? Are there any other requirements I'm not accounting for?
Have any of you switched to medicine later in life? If so, do you regret it? Also, any advice on applying to schools as a non-traditional student would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all!
