Scammed for 160k PKR on OLX while buying an iPhone - police has the phone but cop is using it personally. Need advice.

Need urgent advice from anyone who's dealt with FIA, OLX scams, or police corruption in Pakistan.

What happened:

Last Saturday I tried to buy an iPhone 15 Pro Max on OLX in Lahore. The seller (let's call him Jaffer) said he urgently needed money and sent me to meet his "cousins" at Wahdat Colony to check the phone.

I went, inspected the phone at their house, even signed into my Apple ID to test it. Two men there confirmed they were Jaffer's cousins. I transferred 157,000 PKR from UBL to HBL account "Sahil Asif" (account given by Jaffer).

The moment I paid, the two men suddenly said "reverse the payment, we were also scammed, Jaffer isn't really our cousin." Jaffer disappeared with the money.

Current situation:

I filed a written application at Wahdat Colony police station Sunday

The phone is now in police custody — but the Sub-Inspector is personally using it (I can see this because my Apple ID is still signed in on it, I track activity from my MacBook)

One of the "cousins" called me yesterday offering 30,000 PKR settlement to drop the case and let them keep the phone — I recorded the entire call where he admits they lied about being cousins

I have all WhatsApp chats, bank transfer receipts, OLX listing data, scammer's account number, and CNIC trail through HBL

What I need help with:

Has anyone successfully recovered money through FIA Cyber Crime Wing Lahore (Gulberg)? How long did it take?

Anyone know good lawyers in Lahore for OLX/cyber fraud cases?

How do I handle the corrupt SI without him retaliating against my case? I have screenshot proof he's using the phone personally but don't want to burn that card too early.

Anyone with connections at DSP/SP level in Lahore who can ensure proper FIR registration under 420/406/34 PPC + PECA Section 14?

Should I accept the 30k settlement offer or push for full recovery?

I'm a young agency owner, this isn't pocket change for me. Any advice, connections, or shared experience would mean a lot. Happy to share evidence privately with anyone who can genuinely help.

Hey everyone, need some honest opinions.

I've only ever used PTA-approved flagship Androids & never owned an iPhone, never used two phones at once. Budget is around 200k and I have no preference yet, just want to make the smartest call.

The options I'm weighing:

Non-PTA iPhone 15 Pro Max + a cheap Android for calls and hotspot

PTA-approved iPhone 13 Pro Max

PTA-approved iPhone 15 Pro

Would love to hear from:

Non-PTA users: Is the two-phone setup actually smooth in daily life or does it get annoying?

PTA buyers who went a gen or two back: Do you regret missing USB-C, better cameras, etc.? Or is the one-phone simplicity worth it?

Anyone: How does non-PTA hold its resale value over time?

Also drop the prices you're seeing in your city - I know they vary a lot between Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and even shop to shop.

If you had 200k today and were making your first switch to iPhone, what would you actually buy?

Thanks in advance.
