Inspection fixes and I met the seller.

I am under contract on a home that ticks all my boxes. I went in at full asking and they accepted. The home is built in 68 and has been very loved and cared for. The biggest things on the inspection were the garage door opener not working and an AC issue upstairs.

While I was on my phone after he inspection a gentleman approached and asked if we were done and they could go back in, I said yes. It ended up being the seller and we chatted for about 15 minutes and he gave me a lot of the history about the gardens and such. He also asked if I wanted any furniture and the Xmas decorations (he said the neighborhood goes hard for Xmas), and I said sure. He also told me the AC was fine, they just like it warmer and if you close the doors upstairs the rooms cool down perfectly. I asked if he would have the AC down for them today and close the doors so they could see it worked.

Am I crazy if I tell my realtor that if the AC is OK when they go to look at it today than I'm fine not asking for any $ towards fixes. I can replace screws, I have someone that swap out the outlets for GFI, and I have a plumber for those minor issues. I figured if he is leaving me thousands in furniture, than I can cover that stuff.

Furniture, we're taking two leather couches, a few recliners, glass outdoor table on the back porch, kitchen corner dinette, statues in the garden. These are all things I would need to buy anyway.

Am I nuts, or reasonable?
