I'm sorry if my formatting or wording is bad I don't post on reddit like ever and I'm on model using mostly speech to text.

Hey lovely people really my question is as simple as my title, how do you prevent bugs from investing your stash? I just got my small stash out to make something for myself for my birthday only to find that there were small wiggly bugs chewing through my yarn and living in it. I didn't get a picture because I went into panic mode throwing the cakes that they chewed up completely away and picking though every other bundle throwing more away even re-balling even more to make sure nothing was in them.

I have a small box of yarn that is mostly acrylic that lives on my floor, because even though I've been knitting and crocheting for almost 10 years now, I never did it that consistently and never had the money to really spend on nice yarn. All my natural fiber stuff, what little I had, is gone now and before I even think about buying or touching any of it again I want to try and put something in place to stop this from happening if I can.
