I hope this isn't breaking rule 6, but the details of it imply it to concern DIY, where this post is just a question about my taking my regular prescription.

So, I have a blood test soon and it's around 2pm. I usually take my gel in two doses at 8am and 8pm, but the guidance is to take the dose 12 hours before the test.. so.. I'm not quite sure what to do here x3

I was thinking.. Okay the day before, I'll take my dose at 8am as normal.. then delay my evening dose to around 2 am, then not do the morning one? :S but then this misses a dose, so I'm unsure.

Edit: A lot of you have said it should be 4-6 hours, here's a quote I have from my endo about this (Gender Hormone Clinic) to my GP:

"I would like to review [my name] approximately six months after commencing treatment, in June 2026, and would be grateful if you could kindly organise the following blood tests in May in advance of this 2nd appointment. Blood tests should be taken, if possible, approximately 12 hours following the application of medication to assess serum blood levels accurately."

But it does kind of strike me as odd.. I mean.. I take my meds every 12 hours, so if I took a test it would be when my values would be at their absolute lowest. Maybe that's what they want? But that feels weird.
