Looking for a therapist for my husband for help with emotional intelligence, work place relationships and managing others. Do you have any recommendations?

Husband has a high flying career and is doing very well but is having some major issues with relationships.

He upsets a lot of people and it’s causing him a lot of trouble. He’s finally receptive to help but my Google research is struggling to find an appropriate therapist.

His main issues to me (lay person) seem to be a lack of emotional intelligence, unawareness of how his behaviour is read by other people and how it impacts their views of him. He’s also terrible at managing juniors and this has got him in trouble (e.g high expectations and no understanding of how to appropriately manage under-performers or struggling juniors).

He’s often working 15hrs a day, it’s pretty unforgiving and he’ll need a therapist who understands these kind of work environments.

Need professional help. Would you suggest an occupational psychologist, therapist or an exec coach?

I’m trying to help my husband find some help. He would describe himself as marmite person who forms some very strong relationships but also alienates a LOT of people and this is harming his career and causing some big issues. There is only so much advice and help I can give.

What type of professional would you go to for help? And any specific recommendations?

I think he needs help with understanding how other people see him and how his behaviour feeds into that. I think he also needs help with managing juniors and how to get the best out of people. I know he’s upset quite a few people.

He is receptive to help, I’m just helping with the research now. I help where I can and he can make changes based on my suggestions but I’m not in such a high pressure corporate environment so there are situations I just don’t get.

Where would you stay in Romania? Any special smaller/boutique hotels? Would love recommendations

I’ve been to Romania once before (little road trip around Transylvania but mainly in Airbnbs) but would love to go back.

Looking for any recommendations on hotels or areas to look at. Particularly interested in nature based locations. Will probably visit in September this year or next.

Any good activewear/gym brands that are mainly natural fibres?

I know merino is meant to be the best material but I’m a bit lost on what brands to look for.

When I do weights in the gym I think cotton shorts and a t shirt can work for me but wouldn’t work well for cardio/running.

Do all your friends keep trying to make you go to their not-so-good private members clubs? I am so bored 🥱

I keep making plans with friends and then get sprung with the ‘come to my club’ but they’re all so generic and the food is often very mediocre. I’ve tried deflected enough and now I’m getting the ‘I need to get my money’s worth from the membership’. I don’t want to be rude and outright tell them I don’t enjoy them.

Please don’t do this to your friends unless they’re genuinely enthusiastic!

My elderly boy enjoying the daisies

This sweet boy might have doggy dementia and has gone deaf but he’s still such a sweet happy boy.
